The newest low-cost 5G smartphones from Vivo, the Y28s and Y28e, were introduced in India. The new Vivo Y28 series phones have a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G CPU, and up to 8GB of RAM. The Vivo Y28s and Y28e are IP64 dust and waterproof devices with an inbuilt 5000 mAh battery. There are two cameras on the back of both phones. The Vivo Y28e sports a 13MP primary camera, while the Vivo Y28s sports a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary sensor.

The 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM edition of the Vivo Y28s costs Rs. 13,999, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 15,499 in India. The price of the 128GB + 8GB variant is 1000 yen.
Conversely, the Vivo Y28e is priced at Rs. 20,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model and Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage kind. It will come in two colours: old red and green.

Two-SIM (Nano) The 6.56-inch LCD display of the Vivo Y28s and Y28e, which run Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a maximum brightness of 840 nits, and is certified Rheinland Low Blue by the MOT. It also comes equipped with the following features. While the latter features an HD display, the former has an HD+ resolution display. With up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, the Y28 is equipped with a 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100 5G processor. Up to 16GB of additional internal storage can be added.
Regarding the optics, the Vivo Y28s has two rear cameras, the primary one being a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor. For taking selfies and making video calls, the front of the device has a 5-megapixel portrait camera. The Vivo Y28e’s camera unit features a 13-megapixel main sensor. A 5-megapixel selfie camera is also included. For shooting in bright and low light, both phones support the Multi-Style Portrait mode and the Super Night Camera option.
The Vivo Y28s and Y28e have 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options. Accelerometer, proximity sensor, electronic compass, motor, and ambient light sensor are examples of integrated sensors. A fingerprint scanner is built into the Vivo Y28s for authentication. It has an IP64-standard dustproof and waterproof structure.
The 5000mAh battery of the Vivo Y28s and Y28e has 15W rapid charging. The new phone’s battery will last four years, according to a claim from Vivo. It measures 8.38 mm thick.
