With the most recent beta release, WhatsApp is introducing a Grey Ring for status posts. Through the Google Play Beta Program, users of Android 2.24.22.2 can get this update.

Users may now access previously viewed status updates straight from the conversations tab thanks to the new feature. It facilitates content revisits without requiring a return to the Status tab.

WhatsApp is enhancing the way users engage with status updates with this latest beta release. In the past, a ring would show up around a user’s profile image in the chats page whenever they submitted a new status. When you see the status, this ring will vanish.

WhatsApp is now changing things so that even after you view the status, the ring is still visible. Nevertheless, after viewing the status, the ring goes grey.

You can still tap on it to see the status again, as indicated by this grey ring. Users who wish to review a status without returning to the Status tab will find this helpful.

Some beta testers who have installed the most recent WhatsApp beta update are currently able to use the Grey Ring Status feature. With upcoming upgrades, WhatsApp intends to make the capability available to all users after a gradual rollout to beta users.
