Users of WhatsApp’s Android beta are getting access to a new security feature that will assist them in maintaining clutter-free inboxes. A new feature that helps stop unsolicited messages from unknown contacts is being added to WhatsApp.
The newly implemented security feature “Block unknown account messages” performs exactly as advertised. For those beta testers who downloaded the most recent version of WhatsApp (2.24.20.16) from the Play Store, it is live.
If unknown people are sending you too many messages or spam you in a short amount of time, you can ban their messages using the new WhatsApp security feature. Users can safeguard themselves against potentially hazardous communication and spam with its assistance.
The new security feature is located in the “Advanced” section of the Settings menu. Once turned on, WhatsApp will monitor messages from unknown contacts and will temporarily ban communications from unknown accounts if they send a large number of spam messages in a short amount of time.
Users will still get important communications from unidentified contacts, though.
