For about a month, iOS 17.4 has been under beta testing at Apple.
Apple indicated that iOS 17.4 will be published sometime in March in a press release announcing significant App Store changes in the EU that were brought about in response to new restrictions under the EU’s Digital Markets Act:
Given that Apple must abide by the Digital Markets Act by March 6 in order to avoid penalties, iOS 17.4 is probably going to be published on or before that date.
Apple Podcasts transcripts, a new iMessage security protocol, new emoji, and the option to use the Apple Cash card on more websites by generating a virtual card number are among the major new features in iOS 17.4, in addition to the changes in the EU. Preparations for the introduction of next-generation CarPlay later this year are also included in the upgrade.
iOS 17.4 works with iPhone models XS and above. The update may be found under General → Software Update in the Settings app.
March is anticipated to see the introduction of additional software updates, such as visionOS 1.1, watchOS 10.4, tvOS 17.4, macOS 14.4, and iPadOS 17.4.
